Edit a task and prepare to review its result

Edit the brief and properties within the task itself. Prepare your changes, choose when to save them and set a date to review the result.

Control names are shown as they appear in the current Spanish interface, with an English explanation.

Open the task

Find the task in the list and open its panel. The list starts with active work. If you cannot find a task, check the filters and search.

Before editing, read the brief and expected result. The brief explains what needs doing; the expected result helps you recognise when the work has been delivered.

Edit the brief in place

Choose Editar tarea (edit task). The name, properties and text become editable within the panel, without taking you to another form at the bottom of the page.

  1. Update the Nombre (name) so the work is easy to understand.
  2. Review the Responsable (owner), Agente (agent) and other relevant properties.
  3. Use the Encargo (brief) to explain the work, Resultado esperado (expected result) to describe the deliverable and Notas de ejecución (execution notes) for additional context.

Switching tabs within the panel keeps this editing draft. Save your changes before treating the task as updated.

Save or discard changes

Choose Guardar cambios (save changes) when you have finished. The button shows Guardando… (saving…) while the update is being processed. The name cannot be empty.

Choose Cancelar (cancel) to discard the changes you are preparing and keep the previous version.

Editing and completing are separate actions. Saving the brief does not complete the task or approve a deliverable. Status changes and approvals keep their own flow.

Plan when to review the result

For tasks that show a Fecha de medición (measurement date), choose when you want to review the result. This date is saved with your other changes.

The date plans the review. Setting it does not add measurements, prove that the work succeeded or mean that an evaluated result already exists.

Measurement date

Read the measured results

When a completed task shows Resultados medidos (measured results), check its status first. Medición pendiente (measurement pending) means there is no evaluated result yet. It may show the planned date or say that a date has not been set.

If an evaluation exists, review the metric, before and after values, unit and available sources. The panel distinguishes Medido por Sancho (measured by sancho) from Resultado declarado; no medido por Sancho (reported result; not measured by sancho).

Delivered work and a demonstrated outcome answer different questions. Delivery confirms that the work is done; measurement provides evidence of what happened afterwards.

If changes do not save

Check that the name is not empty and read the error message in the panel. Correct the indicated field and try saving again. While Guardando… (saving…) is displayed, wait for it to finish before repeating the action.

If the panel cannot update, use Reintentar (retry) when that option appears. Do not assume an edit has been saved if it ended with an error.

In-place task editing and the measurement date are part of this week’s updates.
